The pictures
on the left show some scenes during the HolyWord Studios filming on Tuesday,
August 8. The morning started off with singing, fellowship, and
prayer at the Sing and Play Soundtrack.
Day
2's Bible Point was "God protects us." Our Bible Story
was "God protects the Israelites from the plagues" (Exodus 7:1 through
10:29).
The Bible verse for the day was "Come to me, all you who are weary
and burdened, and I will give you rest." -- From Matthew 11:28.
Applying
teamwork at the "Now Playing Games" venue, you see some
children acting as shields to protect a Christian from Silly
String. Just like God protects Christians when we are in
danger. While the shields did a great job in this game, God does a
perfect job of protecting us! There is also a girl dipping her
hand in a bucket of goo to fish out a marble. At Chadder's Adventure Theater,
the kids watched as Chadder the Chipmunk and his friend Carmine the
Camel swoop off in a time machine to Egypt to see how God protected the
Israelites by placing plagues on the Pharaoh. Of course Chadder
gets in trouble with Carmine, but God has Amphibian the Frog rescue them
from danger. At
the Blockbuster Bible Adventure stage, some of our children had roles in
placing a plague on the Egyptian Pharaoh, who had a hard time letting
the Hebrew people go. The production kept the audience focused in
rapt attention on the Biblical story. In
Prop Shop Crafts, the kids created Yahoo Yo-Yos and chose an item to
bring in by Friday for Operation Kid-to-Kid. They will be making
kits containing a washcloth, comb, soap, toothbrush and toothpaste
to send to the children at the New Fountain of Life Mission in Acuna,
Mexico
At
break time, you see a lively group of youngsters devouring some tasty treats at
the Movie Munchies snack area.
