Day
5, the last day, started off with some joyful singing and a short skit
at the Sing & Play Blast. For some children the mood was a
little somber because they did not want the Polar Expedition to end.
Day
5's Bible Point was "Jesus' love is for everyone." Our Bible Story
was "Philip teaches the Ethiopian (Acts 8:26-39).
The Bible verse for the day was: "He told them, 'This is what is
written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day,
and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to
all nations. . . You are witnessed of these things'" -- From Luke
24:46-48.
At
the Glacier Games venue, the children played Celebration Toss.
They tossed water-filled Happy birthday balloons to represent the
Ethiopian eunuch on a desert road that Philip baptized and shared the
message of Jesus love.
In
Cool Crafts, the kids were given an opportunity to make any of the
crafts they had made during the past four days. It also gave an
opportunity for a child to make a craft if he or she missed one day.
In
today's adventure at Chadder's Snow Show our chipmunk hooked up with
Janna Snowblazer as she was about to head out with her dog sled team to
deliver supplies to explorers who need them. Chadder discovers
that sled dogs are much more than pets and that they are well prepared
to pull heavy loads across the snow. They work together as a team
to accomplish their task. The sled dogs reminded Chadder that
Jesus' love is for everyone and that we can work together to make sure
everyone knows about Jesus! Chadder also recapped the lessons he
learned from nature that have reminded him some wonderful truths about
Jesus. They marked their book Bibles at Luke 24:46-48. A
skit about a royal official from Ethiopia was seen at the Bible
Exploration venue. The official was sad and confused by some
writing he found on a scroll. But Philip was able to explain the
Jesus' love is for everyone and the Ethiopian decided to believe in
Jesus and had Philip baptize him. At
Igloo
Eats, several crews made Polar Population Provisions (otherwise known as
Trail Mix) for the rest of the Expedition crews. The provisions
were for all people who need to know about Jesus' love. The
day ended at the Ice Station Celebration where the students learned,
through a reinforcement exercise, that Jesus' love is for everyone.
