A Cookie Monster

The 3rd day of our Polar Exploration started with the joyful singing at the Sing and Play blast.  Some kids were really getting into it, as you can see in the first picture on the left.

Day 3's Bible Point was "Jesus' love is for you."  Our Bible Story was "Jesus welcomes the children (Luke 18:15-17).  The Bible verse for the day was: "But Jesus called the children to him and said, 'Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.'" -- From Luke 18:16.

At Chadder's Snow Show our chipmunk visited Antarctica where he went to the research lab of Dr. Samantha Icenstein.  The doctor developed an emperor penguin tracking device which she and Chadder tested.  The students marked their book Bible at Luke 18:16.

The cool crews in Bible Exploration got autograph books and backstage passes so they could meet someone famous.  There was a problem.  A big, mean bodyguard stopped them.  They were reminded that when Jesus discovered his bodyguards (his disciples) were turning away children, he was upset.  They learned today that Jesus' love is also for children.

At Glacier Games, the youngsters liked Egg Feet, where they passed a ball using their feet.  They also played "Gather the Children," where they would tell another that "Jesus love is for you" and that child would join hands in the group.  When the group gathered enough children they would race to the finish line, still holding hands.

In Cool Crafts, our crews made Freeze Frames, little pictures of themselves framed by two igloos.  The pictures came from the first day of Vacation Bible School, but a camera was there for those who were not there Monday.  They will be taking the pictures home after Day 4.

Igloo Eats had several crews of kids decorating cookies, making them into happy faces.  The best part was when the rest of the Expedition crews gathered to devour them.

At the Ice Station Celebration, a large gift was opened to find large red balloons, which went floating into the air.  They represented Jesus' sacrifice for everyone and his love for all, especially children.
